I dont know about that.
If the government had to legislate it would take 2/3/4 years to sort out.
Take the licensing laws, those on the know still think it will be the middle of next year till we have 24 hour opening.
So if the government are going to put the screws on the remaining restricted councils the end of quotas might come sooner. :wink:

you are kidding yourself pal, read regulatory reform, the planning for law changes was mapped out!

some LAs including Brighton and Halifax will do anything to avoid providing enough taxis!

screws on Las ahead of a pending election?

Is this an official release from the Govt ?

The article is based on a Government statement responding to the Transport Committee's report and recommendations.

This is not the text of the official Government statement (as the first paragraph of the article made clear) and the article was intended merely to summarise the main points made in the statement.
