In most Halcrow surveys, there are plenty on-line, they give a list of previous studies, and the date of those studies, and the times waiting etc.

They do this to gain a comparison with study at hand.

Thus all those councils are listed and it shouldn't take you more than 10 minutes to note them. :wink:

The York 2008 survey;

page 28.

i dont put much faith in surveys period
its an inacurate science, best guess! at best!
but halcrow do the best ones imo
halcrow dont do cheap reports like jacobs
they have done 2 in edinburgh
both have found demand
the only prob with halcrow is they wont sell there reputation to a 2 bob council for a 2 bob fee

anyway why are you bothered unless you really have backed the wrong horse and bought in.
you havent been that stupid have you ???
and if you havent bought in then ive done you a favour, get yer app in.

Apart from York where they estimated 4000 passengers had been taken from a rank that is never used, when questioned at the licensing meeting they admitted their mistake but then said it mad no difference to the overall outcome, how can you make a mistake like that and then say it made no difference, , they are not the best but how many companies do surveys.

I do actually consider you to be one of the brighter souls on here, and seeing as you bought me a pint (many moons ago) a decent bloke too.

However, either I'm missing something (which is very probable), or you've made the biggest mistake in a statement since our PM in 1939? :wink:

Opposite the Gallery nightclub in York is a sign on a bus stop that informs us all that it is a hackney carriage stand for 4 taxis, as it is directly opposite the rank outside the nightclub, no one goes to it as the majority of drivers in York do not even know it is there, next time you are in York let me know I will gladly buy you another pint.

Ahh, now I understand.....we have a couple of ranks like that.......one outside a place that used to be a nightclub 10 years ago.....its now a carpet shop....the trade is wearing a bit thin there...unlike the carpets :lol:
