I think .......... mind I might be speaking out of turn here ............. there has been an asumption that the initials NWTA actually stand for the North West Taxi Association.

I see, so your saying they don't?

So what makes you believe they may not?

Could it be the fact that Sefton council referred to the "NWTA as being the North West Taxi Association", represented by Mr Trevor Jones? Or was it some other material fact?

The NWTA in question, is the one referred to in the article and the one referred to by Sefton council. That being the North West Taxi Association represented by Trevor Jones?

It can't be any more simple than that, can it?

Regards

JD

All I'm saying is that the organisation previously know as NWTA may not be the same as the organisation currently know as North West Taxi Association.

Just because organisations carry the same name, or initials, doesn't mean they are the same as a previous organisation which has dispanded.

Our organisation is known as Gateshead Hackney Drivers Association or GHDA. That doesn't mean that Glasgow Hackney Drivers Association is the same group does it.

Somethings just never change.

Instead of debating the issues, some people just want to debate the poster.

Still when they have lost the argument, I suppose it's all they have left. [-(

Before it became the NTTG the NWTA was an umbrella organisation, which incorporated individual organisations, it did not itself have representation on any one individual authority. It also had a constitution as all "legal" associations must have. Are you saying Mr Jones set up an umbrella organisation of his own, if so who are its affiliates?

Mr Jones is listed by Sefton council as being the representative of the NWTA, if this is an entirely different organisation than the one which became the NTTG then the North West Taxi association of Mr Jones will have a written constitution by law.

It's going to be interesting to see this written constitution but on the other hand if Mr Jones is masquerading as the original NWTA then he is no doubt in a spot of bother and so might be certain officials at Sefton council?

Show me the constitution of the NWTA organisation you represent, how many members you have, when it was formed, who voted you to the position of spokesperson, what position you hold in this mythical organisationand and if members pay you a membership fee?

Oh I nearly forgot, Did you tell Sefton council that the NWTA became the NTTG and no longer functions as an organisation?

Then I'll tell you the secret of the search engine criteria? lol

JD ........... you persist in refering to an organisation by its initials. It has already been pointed out to you that initials can be the same for two different organisations.

Well Angel! I hope he is digging a hole, that way we might get to the bottom of this NWTA saga? One way or the other the truth will out and I don't mind one little bit if he comes up with the goods and proves me wrong? But if he's hijacked the disbanded NWTA to further his own agenda, which I suspect is the more likely scenario, then he could be in for a very rough ride indeed.
