This section of the new Act started being debated approximately 10 years ago.... and then went to sleep..... it was resurrected late last year.... it is being hurried through.....

To say that the majority of radio circuits are mixed fleet.... is extremely questionable.... 8)

If the trades does not educate their local MPs that there is a problem with this Act, then the MPs will think that everything is OK...... the trades future... in fact your future... is in your own hands......

Ours doesn't know the difference between his two orifices.... and do you honestly think they care anyway?

The truth: The policy of this government and to some extent those before them has induced an invasion of ethnic minorities into the trade and the country (known here as the Asian Invasion) and the over saturation that it has caused..... I'm pretty sure that most towns, cities have seen this happen as well and most probably finding that 80 - 90% of driver/owners are now of Asian ethnicity...... Which ever way you look at it, that is the reality and to some extent the resentment, not racism, this has caused.....
The ironic thing is now we are hearing the same bleat from these same ethnic drivers saying there are too many of us we can't make a decent living anymore.....!!!!!  :-|
Now they know how the indiginous drivers felt when they all came here!!  :x :-| eusasmiles.zip

The fight has gone from the Stomach of most Brits, over the past Dozen years we have had a government that has swamped us with so many Stomach churning Bills, policies and pieces of legislation that we have lost the capacity to even complain, they have turned us into Complacent Staring sunken eyed empty shelled automotons that carry on uncomplainingly. No Accident this, its how they intended it to be...its truly 1984 government in 2010.

Sadly even if we Rekindle a spark of rebellion and oust this current Government it will not help us one Jot as they have sold us on to our next Masters already...that being the EU.

Dont look to the future with any optimism as the seeds of your subjugation were sown long ago and you are now ready to be harvested :?

It's exactly that attitude that lets them do as they please. There is always a point to retaliate and if enough people do it a result will be obtained. It is the minority voice that is often heard because they make the most noise whilst the majority sit there and let them

I'm sorry bloodnock......we dont always differ in views.....unfortunately I have to disagree with you, although I hope not on the point I wish to make below.

Part of the post suggested the choice was UKIP or BNP.......errm aint that like suggesting Benito or Adolf?

And this is all so far away from the equality bill its unbelievable.....the EC has f*ck all to do with this British Act of Parliament.

Mr T has made some fine suggestions.......if the taxi trade are interested they should follow his advice. However, I will tell you what I know.

The taxi trade that already have WAV's are not interested, they think they are safe.

Private Hire Operators are not interested, because of the ammendment...they are safe.

Which leaves those areas with a majority of vehicles that are saloon.

They are not interested either, indeed if they were they would join either an association or a union, but they arent.

So the act will go through.

regards

I dunno....640 MP's doing their own thing as compared to around 45 Million Voters complaining about how the country should be run...yet no matter who is in power they will do as the 640 MP's want and to hell with what the rest of us think...after all, the people have voiced many times what they would like to see happen but it makes no differance at all. Whats the Point in Voting for an MP to act as your representative when they only ever represent their own Ideals.

Maybe Im being a tad Cynical...but Ive seen it all before. eusasmiles.zip

I think you will find that MPs do not "do their own thing" or "represent their own ideals". They do as they are told and toe the party line.

Your Entitled to differ...Its your right to do so...indeed it one of the few freedoms we have left to us.

Im sure all of us are interested to varying degrees..but this Goverment will trample on their views no matter how organised an association people may form.

the Goverment has become as undemocratic as is possible under a so called democracy..out of touch with the grass roots, yes we have freedom of speech to an extent, but that same freedom does not sway a modern UK government from doing its own thing.

Its not all of the Equality Bill I dislike, its having it forced down peoples throats without genuine consultation through a neutral body that may have taken on board how it affects the very people that are protected by it and also how it will impact on those people who supply the services that these vulnerable people need.

As for UKIP or the BNP...not my suggestions, but i can see some good points in UKIP..but then I can see one or Two good points in every Political party, sadly though its never all of the good points in any one single party.

Ok..they Collectively do their own thing, but then again it is the individual MP's that are the Party as a whole..same Differance

I tend to disagree, but then again, I am getting towards being a grumpy old man.

The country gets the political leadership it deserves, there too many people (in our case its the majority of the country), prepared to sit back and watch things happen.

I dont exactly like the French.....but can you imagine a French government getting away with what this lot have?
