Nonsense JD, What about London ? There are at least 40,000 PH there !

I was refering to England and Wales outside of London.

London is unique in the fact that it is unrestricted yet it has a restriction in the form of the knowledge. As we know the knowledge can take up to two years and sometimes longer to complete, therefore it could be said that entry into the London market is restricted by virtue of the quality control of applicants.

I'm sure the London Cabbies would like to think that they have a quality that the Private hire mini cab sector in London doesn't have. Thats not saying the private hire sector don't know their way around London, I'm sure a great many do but having that little piece of paper which states you have passed the hardest Taxi knowledge test in the United Kingdom and possibly the world, is a little special.

Best wishes

JD

Well that was when you were telling us one thing ie about how your office couldn't cope with the work.

Then you were telling us that you were well down with your take.

There seems to be a slight contradiction there.

I just don't get it - if you're stowed out with work why is your take down.

I'm more inclined to believe that Frankie really was earing £2.60 per hour,
but I don't believe that for a minute either.

Well, maybe if he's earning that a minute!

So how many more hacks working the phones now?

Funny, you never mention that.

That must be why your take is down :?

The point about meeting people halfway was in reference to the fact that we had to drag out of you the admission that a Taxi driver and Private hire driver were defined somewhat differently in law.

All we now need is for Sussex to accept this and we are nearly there !

It has always puzzled me why a Private hire driver should concern himself about the migration of Private hire drivers over to Hackney carriage.

Yes, but he could be a ''Private Hire Operator'' who has lost a lot of drivers and therefore cannot cover the work or pay the bills !

I could go on and on but I won't. I would just like to say Charlie, that a great many of your arguments echo those of Gateshead Angel and there is a growing consensus that think you are one and the same,

Could be his twin brother or two guys with very similar views ?

nobody and I mean nobody can have simular views to Mick

even Mick argues with himself

no Chas and gatehead angel are the same ignorant ill informed beast, and the angel even appears when it gets to hot.

a trade rep that finds success only in flogging fast tan.

No I do mention that ............... our office has half a dozen HC ......... all of whom desert the office when the ranks are busy ............. then return to the office when the ranks are quiet and wonder where the regular work has gone.

My take is down because most people want to go out and come back within the same periods .......... we don't lie to people and say we will be there in 5 mins to turn up an hour later ......... our reputation means more to us than that.

The simple fact of the matter is that my experiences show that what you lot want doesn't work .......... thats why you try to shut me up ........... well as today is christmas I'm going to give you a present ................. goodbye.

Now that Charlie has finally departed this world of Taxi intrigue I was wondering Which of you likely lads is going write a fitting epitaph?

Perhaps along the lines of "Parting is such sweet sorrow" or perhaps,

"Tis a far, far better thing he did, than he ever done before". or perhaps,

"Those names who write lots but say little, become lost in the archives of history, but those who write little and say lots, leave a lasting impression in the fullness of time".

Best wishes

John,

be gracefull in the loss of another, this was a christmas of goodwill to all men, and Charlie lept into the spirit by giving us all a treasured present accept it with love.

"he died so we may all live" its the best thing Charlie ever did.

he was only here in the first place to wind us all up, he was not who he said he was, just a salesman mucking about.

lol you don't really think he's gone do you? I have a feeling Charlie will do a lazarus and rise from the dead. hahahaha. But who is going to play the role of Jesus Christ and say those imortal words "Charlie come out". certainly not me, perhaps TDO might do the honours or perhaps we can just leave him to rot in his self imposed exile.

Best wishes

JD
