I suspect Charlie will be back.

Eventually.

The office I work from used to have 25 - 30 PH cars working on the weekend nights ................ last weekend we had 11 ........... clearly a reduction in provision.

So how many more hacks working the phones now?

Funny, you never mention that.

That must be why your take is down :?

No I do mention that ............... our office has half a dozen HC ......... all of whom desert the office when the ranks are busy ............. then return to the office when the ranks are quiet and wonder where the regular work has gone.

You certainly didn't mention that when you were going on about the reduction in PH numbers from your office, so you were presumably deliberately ommitting an important fact to suit your case.

As some people keep on saying, many PH converting to HC doesn't necessarily mean less provision for pre-booked work, if the new HCs continue to work from offices.

Your misleading stats might impress the Trans Comm and suchlike, but not on here, because we know a bit about the trade :D

As a case in point, someone on here has said several times in the past that a major office in Gateshead won't even let its hacks work the ranks.

Since Gateshead is just up the road a bit from you I would drive up sometime and get the SP. It might help your office run a bit better.

Don't know why the bother getting HC licenses at all, but there's nowt as queer as folks :)

But I'm sure there's a more rational explanation.

My take is down because most people want to go out and come back within the same periods .......... we don't lie to people and say we will be there in 5 mins to turn up an hour later ......... our reputation means more to us than that.

Must be some office if the HCs can just please themselves what they do then come back to the office when they want.

As for 'our reputation' I'm surprised you have any at all if the drivers are such an indisciplined rabble.

Presumably they just please themselves what they do?

OK, so if you don't like leaving people hanging on too long, therefore turn away work, then I still can't fathom out how your take is down - presumably things were the same before, but your office just turned away less work?

Who is trying to shut you up - it was you that said goodbye, not us!!

My experiences show that what I want does in fact work, in my manor at least - minimal PH provision, but no problems for people getting a taxi, either on the ranks or over the phone.

lol Charlie won't rest in his grave knowing you highlighted a great proportion of his inconsistances. I therefore predict, he will be back sooner rather than later to refute the inconsitancies which you accuse him of. hahahaha.

I think I can already hear him in Sunderland sharpening his wit and likewise his mind.

Best wishes

Please note that Charlie asked for his profile to be deleted, it was not done unilaterally by us.

Perhaps he is already working on a new profile? lol I suspect some new members will be scrutinised for the Charlie factor. Perhaps he already has a new profile? We can rely on one thing, Yorkie the bloodhound will no doubt be the first to sniff him out, if indeed he has aquired a new persona. lol

Best wishes

Just a sign that he will be in another guise, maybe a taxidriver of 17 years experience.

the biggie will be that he will still sound like a t***,
