To me the ones who come of out this report smelling of poo, is most certainly not the HC trade in those restricted areas. They have gladly accepted the rules and regulations that have benefited them. The real losers, in my opinion, are those councils who restrict numbers. They have followed flawed policies that have benefited the few, to the detriment of the many. Hiding behind out-dated legislation, is not, in my opinion 'Best Practice'.

I fully understand SM, but I suspect you will be asking your council why they now restrict? If the 'public safety, public service' reasoning has been shown to be false, what reason could a council have to restrict taxi numbers? Alex |
