as i said dougie its me me me with you
and feck everyone else.
lets put it this way dougie ive got twice as many plates as you and id welcome dereg if it came.
you on the other hand want to deny your fellow cabbies the right to have what you have, unless of course the crucify themselves with debt.
its morally bankrupt
and if you go buy your logic the guy you bought the plate off is also a carpetbagger,he got it for the price of an application fee.

Tell me my modus operandi please......I tend to work ad hoc....although I prefer to call it common sense.......you see I didnt mention carpet bagger once in that sentence.

Yep.....I previously thought I knew everything, deregultion was an answer to all ills and to a degree I still hold that view.

Excessive plate prices are IMO obscene.

But there is a balance that should be reached between the obscene, and making the trade have an actual living........which considering I went to work this morning at 7am and didnt actually get a single penny on my meter till 8.30am......suggests I am right.

Do you have an issue with that?

I only want one plate and the guy i bought from got his plate when A plate had no value, i'm not about myself, i'm about a fair and without discrimination regulated Taxi trade, the way it's been since i joined, i don't want a flooded market, i want a market to trade in, not a trade where it's everyman for himself.

agreed  but thats not what we have here.

its corrupt from top to bottom.

personally if its a choice between what we have now and dereg, ill sleep better with dereg.
the dougies are typical of the Edinburgh taxi trade reps, they have no clue ,they put there mad selfish ideas to the clueless council and before you know it,we have what we have, a shambolic mess and a ruddy expensive one at that,

controlled growth was what was always needed a city this size should have been putting on 30-60 cabs a year every year, and the ph would not have become so huge.
of course its way to late for anything as sensible as that.

i was told the same dougie thats why i didnt buy and got a free one 3 times over.
now go ask your justice minister why the capital city has a discriminatory waiting list,to which you are denied access.
after all he knows justice when he see's it
