is there anyone on this forum who drives a hackney taxi in the liverpool area as my wifes family are there an we want to move up the so I was just wondering if anyone new how the trade was down there an if its worth me buying a hackney taxi there Thank you |

well it must be because look at the size of aylesbury an then liverpool big difference, a friend told me to do private hire as there is good work but I don't like the private hire trade I preferre the hackney even thou I have to buy a liverpool hackney plate, But now down here aylesbury the trade is going slow as there are too many private hire so not enough work to go around, |

By you have a handful of licensed taxis, they have over 1500. However if you want to buy a Liverpool plate I suspect there will be many willing to sell. ![]() |

I think I read somewhere that there were quite a few private hire vehicles in Liverpool. |

It's as busy as anywhere at the moment. I haven't seen any advertising forsale on the vehicles but I have noticed a few collars for rent |

I've been researching liverpool hackneys for quite a wile an on the 2007 plate value database I found out that the value is 50k If its worth me buying one I will but its quite a gamble as I don't no the area wwell, history of the trade or the average takings. |

how much is it to rent? I'm going to go down next month as I have a badge as I always fort of moving as we have a lot of family there next month I'm going to drive there too see how work is there Thanks for telling me about the renting |
