JD's list show that currently only 113 councils out of 343 restrict taxi numbers. It would appear that 35 have decided, through legal means or foul to keep quotas, for the time being. The rest are either doing surveys, or doing their best to avoid them. So my odds, if anyone wishes to place a bet on the number of restricting councils left by the end of the year, is as follows; 110+ 100/1 105-109 33/1 100-104 20/1 95-99 7/1 90-94 2/1 85-89 Evens 80-84 2/1 75-79 7/1 70-74 20/1 60-69 33/1 0-59 100/1 |

But that's why I wouldn't buy a plate. ![]() To date 39 councils out of the 150 that were restricted have voted to remove their restricted numbers policy. 36 have voted to keep their restricted policy. 75 councils have still to decide. Who is brave enough to predict what the balance will be when all the results are finally in? lol Regards JD |

You, I'm assuming, are saying that councils that want to de-limit are changing their minds following the info they have received in M&R and JD's list. That is utter nonsense. The reverse is utter truth. If your assumption was the truth, then Dusty wouldn't have written M&R, and JD his list. And without a doubt neither would find a home on TDO.

YOU MAKE TOO MANY ASSUMPTIONS. NO i AM NOT SAYING THAT AT ALL what I am saying is that councils who had de-limited are reversing thier policies and thats as a result of myth and reality and Jds list! they have mobilised the taxidrivers and defeated the argument. and the relevation last night that the authour of myth and reality spends over 2 hours on ranks between jobs then firther that this is normal throughout the uk is evidence being grasped upon. the whole plan is swinging into reverse Sussex, and you are concxealing it. |
