Looks like a promising skippy student all them jobs in one night :D :D

Are you saying he's earning all that dough after giving the punters a 25% discount on fares like you do Mr Skippy41?

What would he be earning if he was charging full fare?

Lets hope the law commission and government dont propose nationwide deregulation......otherwise that £70K will look like an awful waste of money #-o

The best is that while an Oxford plate has just changed hands for £70K, with the seller still clutching part of the buyer's hand, in Brum you can't give a plate away for ten-bob!

I heard I can make 500-600 monday to thursday and 500-600 friday saturday so its good.

I heard that the moon is made of cheese.
When you say MAKE, you you mean MAKE or TAKE. There is an auful lot of difference. I have a mate who takes over a grand a week but he makes only about £250 a week after paying all his costs.

Right then!!

Is a 'you you' a grammatical mistake, a misspell or mis-spell, a writer's stutter, or a stuttering keyboard?

Discuss!!

OK, so we've established that neither Toots nor Skippy can spell, but where's Skippy's grammatical deficiencies?

He missed the full stop at the end of the sentance.

Should'nt that read "He missed the full stop at the end of the sentence." as a "sentance" is handed out by a court.

Not south of the border it isn't!!

Starting work on friday can't wait to start earning
Anyone else here drive cab in oxford need advise on best shifts and hot spots ?

I wish you well.

But one has to wonder why you will be able to earn yet the previous chap couldn't.

Perhaps the previous owner is a bit clued-up on the eventual outcome of the Law Commission's deliberations.

I have just read the posts on this subject again and I smell a rat. In one post Jack states that in the 8 hour shift on the Saturday he took £240+ yet in a later post he states that on Saturday he took nearly £200 in the 8 hour shift. :---)

That was after fuel though

Doesn't really sound that much assuming it's the best eight hours on the Saturday though.

I mean if plates are worth £100k then presumably they're going to be a bit busier than most of us.

It's not what you can earn on a Saturday night that creates a high plate value as those nights should be busy everywhere.

It's what you can earn in the week that creates the plate values in the main.
