You should have waited on the final outcome of the equality bill, they allegedly might tell councils to de-restrict and allegedly allow saloons to be licenced as hacks in all wav areas, and if they do you have just waisted 70K.

Corrected with a full stop

Can't see anything wrong with the grammar, Toots, but not so sure about the logic.

By the way, since you're criticising Skippy's spelling there's actually no 'e' in grammar

OK, so we've established that neither Toots nor Skippy can spell, but where's Skippy's grammatical deficiencies?

It's comforting to know that your sense of humour hasn't changed and as I said you missed the point entirely  I see Grandad got the drift tho :D

I don't see no point in all this de-restriction thing I'm against it all as look at northampton its de restricted and nearly every year more plates being handed out you should actually see the ques of cars on the rank and you could be waiting hours for a £3 fare
I don't see What the council get out of this it ruins taxi drivers lifes as how you ment to pay your vehicle expences and give you family food and clothing when your only making £20-30 a day.
Yes city drivers may survive deregulations but What about little towns i know of towns where restricted drivers still only making less than £50 a day what's going to happen if towns deregulate they'll make nothink say there's 70 hackneys restricted today and there strugling to make a living what's going to happen tomorrow when there's 100 more cars on the road
Seriously I don't know as at this moment where in a ressesion whichll get worse and with deregulations it'll kill us.

The theory is that with an open market it will find it's own level to sustain itself. Those that can't make a living will leave and everything else will be all nice and rosy. At the moment you have the added pressure of a recession so things are a little skewed. As a wise man once said 'if you can't stand the heat get out of the kitchen' and as I always say, I hope you prepared a business plan before you parted with the cash  All that aside good luck :D

And you still thought that it was a good idea to spend £70,000 to join the trade.

Sometimes you take a gamble in life, ive heard the threats of deregulation here for the last 30 years, and im sure theres a lot more to come. The value of the plate isnt something i think about a lot it seems to bother those more who arent willing to invest. You take a chance whatever buisness you invest in .
