As expected Newcastle Voted last week to retain its current policy of quantity control. This leaves 233 councils who have a polcy of no restriction or who have voted to change their policy to one of no restriction, 39 councils who at present retain numbers control with 71 councils still to decide their policy.

I'm afraid many still do quote 45% but you will always find that people will quote whatever fits their purpose. Some are decidedly afraid of the facts, thats why you don't see the likes of Taxi Talk magazine publishing the correct factual figures, even though they are aware of the current facts.

I'm afraid you are right, if it wasn't for me and this website, the facts would not be known.
