Our 2014 Survey has just been Conducted in September/October. Currently 50 Licenced Hackney Carriages. 3-4 Ranks Surveyed, the main one being Town Centre With Spaces For 7-8 Cabs just abit of demand at Early morning times and afternoon rush Hour, rest during day night and weekends Demand all fulfilled with cabs always At rank. Rush hour traffic, School, Work times causes cabs to return to rank abit late so few times they'll be people waiting at ranks. 50 Cabs in town with Population about 70,000-80,000 with 3 Ranks with total rank spaces for around 20-25. Also there's rank at station 8 spaces but rarely used during day only 2-3 cabs as no trains just peak times . Just waiting for survey results and see what happens. |

Well in york there are something like 650 private hire cars and 183 hackneys most are double driven for a population of 230,000 |

LOL in Middlesbrough we have 1170 licenced vehicles, population is 130,000. current average 10 hour hackney shift brings in £50-60. |
