We're doing an article on it Captain, but since the meeting lasted two and a half hours and none of us were there then you'll appreciate that it's not easy putting together a fair and accurate report on the proceedings, but hopefully there should be something on here by the end of the week. Dusty |

Dusty, Please get it on as quickly as you can. I e.mailed the other day for a copy or site address to the sec of the committee but to date nothing. I believe the man from the Oft had a rough ride, but obviously thats just hearsay. (No not the group before any body writes in) Ged |

I would hope the man from OFT did get a rough ride, it's his job to do so. But to me he seemed a bit relaxed, as if to say it's in the bag. Especially when he said it is Government policy to de-limit.
Clearly he reads the RRA site, un-like some.

Andy, Was it televised? Ged |

I don't know if it was televised Ged, it was broadcast over the internet - I tried to watch it and it was a nightmare - it stopped and started dozens of times, I rebooted my computer three times, I doubt if I saw a quarter of it and much of what I did see was like Norman Collier's broken microphone gag! I suspect my dial up connection was to blame, but it was also the afternoon of Hutton, so I suspect the web was quite busy. But I've got enough notes and the like to do a story, my headline hasn't changed since Wednesday, it's "Committee grills OFT". Dusty

That's the problem with TDO, it is so anti-OFT.

jeeze, i sent you what i had just after 7pm tonight and its not here yet? I've also attended a TOA meeting, jumped one or two high buildings with a single bound and found the cure for a number of previously undiscovered diseases. I though the internet was quick! regards Captain Cab |

There won't be any official minutes of this Transport select committee meeting for at least two maybe three weeks. The minutes have to be corrected then sent back to the committee clerk to be typed up. Best wishes. John Davies. Manchester |
