You still have hired plates in Perth,do you not.
Also you can put a wav on in Perth and receive a hackney plate,so why not just open up the town,get rid of the hired plates and put everyone on an even footing.
It will level itself out.

No we do not have hired plate - we have partnership agreements (tongue in cheek) We are limited to 70 HCs with the last five beeing added two/three? years ago with the condition that they be WAVs. After the pantomine (thats a different story) The convener ( Chairman) of the Licensing committee said to me as long as he's in the chair he "won't make that mistake again" i.e increase the number of plates arbitrarily. Unfortunatly he is no longer in the chair, but we have a very good working relationship with the committee probably the best in the country. Posts elsewhere explain our relationship.

He's a human being it would take something super human to sort out Dundee and not just the taxi trade.
