It would appear that despite the world ending in Wirral when their council de-limited, it in-fact didn't.
According to the latest SUD survey there is still evidence of significant un-met demand.
No-doubt the chaps at OFT and the NCC will be pleased to use that as evidence when OFT 2 starts soon, to put the doom-mongers in their wicked place.

I only wish I could have been there to celebrate with you.
But don't the good folks driving cabs in Wirral realise that if their aren't enough cabs to meet the demand, despite de-limiting, then they need to up their prices.

I see you didn't respond to the fact that the unmet demand is worse now |

I'm not doubting that point, but are you saying the market is always the same? I think an increase in punters is a good thing. Maybe this is crystal clear evidence of 'latent' demand.

![]() Maybe he now has the same opinion of surveys that I've always had.

Your only used to the old surveys, not the new ones. |

I think they are all bent/flawed/corrupt and a complete waste of taxi drivers money. Old and new. |

Strange that, I have heard the same view expressed regarding private hire drivers |
