Do the council have any powers to legally stop and restrict PH plates?

I thought you were against taxi plate profiteering Chipper?

So why replicate it in the PH trade?

So where are all the drivers coming from?

Part of the problem with the PH side is that they Councils can't impose a knowlege test or other controls, but that shouldn't mean that things should be that different to how they were a year ago?

Well it must be less of a sider door entry than running a saloon taxi in Dundee, because you have to pay an office, while a saloon taxi doesn't?

And even if you have to hire a plate it's cheaper than paying an office for a radio for a PH car?

In my area you have a badge that covers both private hire and hackney so everyone has to take the local knowlege test.
