It would appear OFT have published an up-date. http://www.oft.gov.uk/shared_oft/report ... oft956.pdf Maybe it's a precursor for the DfT having another go next year. Who knows?

![]() But I'm not really interested in the money each taxi takes, just interested in the amount of money each driver takes.

But the winner of graph/chart of the year 2007 goes to the one on page 66.
A masterpiece of confusion.

However, what a pleasant surprise to see that both M&R and the quota list were used as a source for their information. I suppose it will give Mr Casey another platform to try and discredit TDO by Regurgitating the same old chestnut of why are the OFT using information from a site where its administration remains anonymous? jimbo wrote: Two questions then JD. Did the OFT and the NCC get "written permission" to use copyright material? Well considering the NCC contacted TDO I would say yes they did. Quote: Why ARE the OFT using information from an anonymous source?
Several reasons, mainly because they know TDO is credible and no doubt their figures tell a similar story. Regards JD |

jimbo wrote: Did the OFT and the NCC get "written permission" to use copyright material? They don't need it - it's called "fair dealing". Copyright law is there to ensure that people don't pass of other people's work as their own, not to stop quoting and commenting on other people's work. Are you saying that if I quote one of your posts then I need your written permission? Quote: Why ARE the OFT using information from an anonymous source?
Well strictly speaking it's Europe Economics rather than the OFT itself, but it's not anonymous - the author is TDO. No names on the EE/OFT document either, so why are you taking it so seriously?
And if either EE or OFT had wanted to know my ID they were free to ask for it, indeed the OFT knows my ID by dint of stuff I've sent then in a personal capacity. But as usual jimbo you're clearly far more concerned with personalities than the substantive arguments. You'd be better using your time trying to work out those supply/demand diagrams

To a degree, but not to a large one. I don't really give a monkeys how much a non working taxi owner gets, the lesser the better will do me. Whereas for full time drivers the higher the better. |

It strikes me as strange as to how Jimbo expects an answer he'll either like or indeed believe, and TBH he has my sympathy
