I need to go to committee regarding contravention of licence conditions. I want to take a solicitor to cover me incase they throw any complicated questions at me as I have been a bit naughty. I'm pretty sure it will be dealt with on the day, but there's an outside chance I could lose my badge and thats why I need representation.

What sort of fees do solicitors charge nowadays to come to committee as I havent used one before?

Cheers folks :)

It's not just the time at committee it's also preparation time.

I would say £500 if it's not too complicated.

Works out about four years union dues.

There's a guy round here who's got a hearing on Wednesday at the Council and he's got one for £80.00.

She's got to be good if she's going to get him his badge back, I can't see her winning to be honest. If I tell you promise you won't laugh?

About £500-£750 plus travelling expenses and VAT would be about right for someone that 'knows their stuff'. At £80 it will either be a favour or someone very junior I would imagine.

Hence why drivers should join a representative body, the legal fee's are then covered for a few quid each month.
