According to recent London cab press, Blueback lost their mags court appeal to have their livery on their motors, and a lot of whopping and a hooping followed from said press. [-(

However according to PMH, the PCO have now allowed them to have their livery. Mr Roland says that now any LPH firm can have any vehicle livery they wish.

So is this a victory for common sense?

No, Blueback wanted the internet address, and a telephone number plastered all over their vehicles. The court said no.

Now a 'colour scheme' is a different matter altogether.

Well I'm not so sure about that. :?

If I was going to flag a PH down, it wouldn't be internet advertising that would clinch the deal, nor the phone number, as many vehicles have numbers on them.

However a proper livery would stand out.

I was refering to your comment on the PCO's decision to allow livery's.

The court challenge was centered around the part of the London Act which forbids signage.

People flagging PH? they don't have too, they stop and flag the public down. :-|

If I read PHM right then it appears that the mags court decision is being appealed.

I await the outcome with added anticipation. :-k
