If that were the case all over then there will be no Drivers in a few years time as you cant be an experienced Driver without being a new Driver first.

You'd be In New Driver Limbo for life. #-o

I was told last year that if I wanted to add a driver with less than 1 years experience that it would cost at least £3,000 to add one to the policy.

How in hell's name can you give the unaffordable newbies experience at those prices, it highlights all that's wrong in Business today, petty pitfalls and obstacles designed by greedy insurers to hamper and not assist those who drive for a living, Why can't they see the bigger picture and encourage more drivers who in turn and through time will increase their client base and profits by way of growth and expansion.

Define experienced.

Most insurers I've used ask how long they've held a badge, not how long they've done the job

In most cases this would be the same but not necessarily so. I mean how long has Jman held a badge now?
