How much does your Council charge to swap your vehicle.
Im on the border of 2 districts and have worked in both over the last ten years.
The council i used to work under charged £16 if you bought a new car to change your plate. I thought that was very reasonable and even when it went up to £35 i still thought thats ok. They have to make a plate and a bit of admin etc.
Well now im under the other council and they have just started charging £91 to do it. Its only £160 for a year so depending how much you have left its not always worth the transfer.
In fact every thing has gone up quite a bit in the last year.
Just wondering what other areas charge for transfer compared to a new plate.

No transfers here. If you change your car part way through the year, you lose the remainder of that year on the old car and pay for a new year on the new car. current charge is £202 per year with a rise of 25% due next April again.
