Hi
Can someone please give me contact details for the PCO as a friend of mine wishes to complain about the conduct of a minicab driver in London.
A friend of mine was in London recently and travelled in a minicab.
He had asked for a price and accepted it but when he got in the car the driver stated that he wanted more than the quoted fare.
When they approached the destination (about 1.2 miles short) the driver said that he could not take the passenger there unless he was paid extra money as this was not the agreed destination.
The passenger had offered the postcode at the start of the journey which the driver refused to take as he said ''he knew where the passenger wanted to go''
The passenger got out of the vehicle paid the originally agreed fare and took a bus to his final destination.
Any help would be appreciated
Thanks

Hi
Thanks for the info.
Any ideas as to how best approach would be good as I want to make sure this driver gets punished for what he has done giving the majority of us a bad name.
Any experiences with PCO would also be good.

Thanks

Just outline the problem and give the drivers badge number and plate number.

Does it matter if hes got the drivers badge number its Tfl and so it could have been any unlicensed driver driving a licensed vehicle :doubt: :doubt: :doubt: :doubt: :doubt:

TfL don't do much enforcement on the wearing of badges, and even if so, the driver can still turn the badge around as they're wearing it, so it doesn't show anything.

There are no plates, just the licence number printed on the green roundel stickers, not very big.

If the company was legit, you can mentioned the company involved to TfL, and the company should have all details of the booking. If not, then the company will also in trouble.

I think you need to have had a full UK DVLA license for a certain period, unless you have had an EU full license.

Do you meet the mandatory requirements on the application?
