I'm surprised the court will allow it, in the same way the coroner always waits until after the outcome of any court case dealing with the death of a person.

Also I wouldn't want a witness to give evidence to a council and different evidence to a court.

You need to seek professional legal advice.

Sussex is right get professional advice NOW !!

Licensing comittee gave a continuation until after my court case at the end of Jan, so they can work out what i've been convicted of, which is fair

I asked if I went down how long it would be before I would be deemed suitable to drive and they didnt say.

Not sure you should have said anything more than requesting a delay.

You comments above seem to imply you are going to be found guilty.

I would say no more online until after the court process is done.

Update

All sex charges dropped

convicted of a breach of the peace, 120quid fine, paid on the way out.

Any idea of my future standpoint with the license?

Well you now have a conviction so your application may have to go before a committee. A lot of councils expect applicants to be conviction free for at least 3 years before granting a licence.

That's a bit of a result; with sexual offences you go on the Register for a number of years which means you can't work with vulnerable people/kids etc, and that includes not getting a cab licence.

Wasn't there a case on here where someone was found not guilty of a sex offence but still went on the register, didn't the police say 'just because they were found not guilty doesnt mean they didnt do it' !?

Yeah, anything on the sex offenses spectrum puts you on the register for variable times.

ie, if you accept a caution for an offense - you go on for 2 years
if you are convicted of an offense and
fined - 5 years
community service - on it till service is done
jailed - usually on it for between 6 years and sometimes life.

Arguably, its better to do a bit of community service and get off it asap - seems a wee bit warped to me.

I was fortunate that the court accepted my plea of not guilty. This is different to them 'dropping' a case which means they couldn't prove it.

I just hope i can get past this and get my license. I will respect it a million times more after this fight let me tell you.

As you must know, that is a low level crime that is often dealt with by a fixed penalty or caution.

I would be surprised if that on its own stopped you getting a license.
