taxi licensing is a matter for individual member states

Yes,the burkha ban is lawful in France,who represented those opposed to the ban,non other than good old UK. money grabbing lawyers.

Do their courts not give a feck about the ECHR and EU Courts of Justice like ours do...good on them if they don't.

I am pretty certain that some who were under travel restrictions in the UK, actually managed to leave dressed in a Burkha #-o
