I don't suppose the Pug is much different. Do you think it would be unreasonable to ask a tubby to sit in the middle of the back seat so as to evenly distribute the weight? :D

Well there's also axle weights to consider, so it might be reasonable to try to get an even distribution between the back and front, but I'm not so sure about each wheel :D

It's starting to be complicated now. If there is to be even distribution between front and back then that would mean I couldn't take anybody over the same weight as me if they are travelling alone and that could seriously limit my punters

Well I don't suppose the distrubution would matter unless you're over the maximum permissable weight for each axle, which would probably entail carrying some abnormally large people.

But I suspect that Jimbo's initial question won't lead to a massive crackdown on the issue, so I think it'll be safe if we just carry on as normal. :)

Yeah you're right. Seems like the most sensible idea

Indeed, and I suspect it was Toots - that's why she's asking so many questions and seems so concerned about the whole issue - but she had presumably gone into hiding when the photo was taken :D

But it's certainly a salutary lesson for anyone tempted to carry a goat in their taxi

And how many years are in a 'cupful'?
