If you have a yearly crb check I assume you only get a one yr badge which is against the dft best practice guidance.Section 55.Section 61 crb checks says every 3yrs is best practice.What do the neigbouring Councils do,this may help support your case.

Asked the council what their policy is regarding council employees... Do they need a CRB each year.... if not.... why not....

Mansfield 3 year badge.
Amber Valley 3 Year badge (I think)
Bolsover 3 year badge (I think)
Nottingham 3 year badge.
Bassetlaw 3 year badge

CRB check is free when you renew your ops licence /driver's badge in Glasgow. You lot don't half get ripped off. :?

Driver's licence:- 2 years - £119, 3 years - £161.

Operator's Licence;- 2 years - £298, 3 years - £398.

You have to renew for a minimum of 2 years.

How does that compare???

from the application form it looks like the driver has to get hold of the CRB check?

Your badge is more expensive than mine....£55 for 1 year

We dont have an operators license in England for HC's......but if thats that a Proprietors license....ours lasts 1 year by law and mine cost £170.

Yeah looks like operator's is just same as proprietor's. Swings and roundabouts then 8)
