No its not Skip.....London has an emissions policy because the place has been designated a low emissions zone.

Well almost,
due to this low emission rule owners who now buy a new TX will have to make sure its euro 5 compliant, but all the taxi sales place has done is stick a DPF filter on the exhaust and messed about with the already crap engine
So about 4 to 6 months down the line the DPF fecks up and blows the engine, as it should have been fully converted and modernised at the factory not some back st garage in clapham

So apart from being wrong about it being an age policy, could you point me to the bit you were right about?

Right due to the green brigade and the Olympics coming to the smoke, Boris has decided in his daft mind that all cabs over 15 years will all of a sudden smoke like a Chinese coal power station, and must be removed from the road otherwise doom and gloom will descend and the folk wont be able to see some nutter competing in that new stadium.
CC in a nut shell if the Olympics where not coming they would not have introduce it

the greens brain washed Boris, mind you allegedly thats not hard to do
And the worst part about it is if they buy a new cab they will be paying £42,000 for a Vito or a TX at £38,000 due to the interest, all because they dont have the balls to stand up to the PCO and get the turning circle scraped so they can get the cheaper versions
