Addison Lee - Any Drivers from Addison Lee here?

Why do you have such an Interest in Addison Lee? seems almost obsessional?

Because its a successful organisation

What I have noticed, you guys are taxi drivers and not educated to know other things of how a business minded person thinks alike.

business people aim to provide goods and services involving financial and commercial and industrial aspects, where as I keep stating taxi drivers just think about the financial aspect.

I beg to disagree. I have studied law, economics, accountancy, british constitution, building construction, sales and marketing to higher levels as well as GCE maths, eng lang, eng lit, geog, history, latin, french, music, chemistry, physics, biology, etc., etc. I have also worked in property sales and letting, financial services, purchasing, security, licensed trade and probably a few others that I have forgotten.

The financial aspect is the ONLY reason anyone is in business. 'Man does everything for a profit.' The means to that profit will include among other things all the qualities that you appear to admire in AL as well as a few others, eg, maintaining a happy workforce.

I would suggest that before you start slagging off uneducated taxi drivers, you ensure that you are educated to the same standard as those you are addressing!!!

Before this degenerates further into a personal slanging match, I too object to being called uneducated.

I won't bore readers with my education, but I have several qualifications to my name and have been the managing director of a bus company that had a turnover in excess of £2m a year. It provided tendered services to LT, Surrey County Council and was the main rail; replacement contractor for Connex (remember them?).

Have worked most of my life in public transport as a train driver, bus driver, bus engineering and top management. Hence my earlier posting elsewhere about how to cost your cab work! A lot of cab drivers ARE well-educated and well versed in the ways of business. I suggest waqas get a copy of the Addison Lee annual report, available from Companies House to see how they do it.
