It'll please a few of the seasoned Tax Dodgers around here, If they Stick to the Back roads there's a fair chance they'll never be pinged by the police.

Ah but it doesn't work like than now. The registered keeper will automatically get a fine if they have not taxed the car. Tax discs no longer transfer with a vehicle. If you sell a car with a tax disc, the tax is not valid because the seller will automatically get a refund on the taxdisc and the buyer must tax the vehicle immediately. Of course this will mean that the seller will lose the remaining tax for the month that the vehicle was sold and the buyer will lose the value of the tax in the month that they bought the vehicle.

Of course, this means the government will get an extra months road tax each time a vehicle changes hands...

Unless of course you buy the vehicle on the 1st of the month and the previous keeper had the vehicle on a SORN.

You're like me, Wannabee. Nearly time for a script change; no longer can I say that I've spent nearly 60 years practising to be 59!

Any budding scriptwriters have ideas?
