Dear Ms Gilbert,
I acknowledge receipt of the letter referenced above.

As I intend to represent myself, can I request that the transcript of the PACE interview is furnished to me as soon as possible after the Court Summons is issued.

Further; can I have a full copy of the file held in regard of me by Plymouth City Council in my capacities as Taxi Proprietor and Driver. This to include any files only held on computer.

You may need to redact the names and addresses of other people mentioned in the files, but I would appreciate it if everything else is unexpurgated.

Please include the obverse and reverse of all documents on which anything is printed or written, I do not need copies of reverses which are blank.

I consider that the cover of the file also makes up part of my request.

I would be happy to receive these items either as attachments to an email, as items of Post from the Royal Mail or I am prepared to attend the Civic Centre to collect in person.

Let me know the delivery option that you prefer.

Yours

CC: Secretary, Plymouth Licenced Taxi Association (for File).

I had to go a different route to get my file, a Subject Access Request. It cost me £10.00 and that was money well spent.

A Licensing Officer had a couple of fun filled days checking every single page to see what names and addresses needed to be redacted.

I will not be reproducing it here - would take me weeks!

I have hardly scratched the surface, you have lots more to come, consider it an on going saga. It is going to take ages by the look of it.

You will get some relevant case law, that I will post at the required time, about abuse of process, breach of promise and even entrapment. It did not succeed in helping me, it may yet help you.

I would suggest that, using your smartphone or a Dictaphone, you record all meetings (or encounters) with LO's and Police etc. starting right now.

Clearly he is guilty of over ranking. The problem, as I see it is, can he convince them that the over ranking was agreed in the way that he states. I think he has been done up like a kipper and the answer to the question posed in the subject is, no, you can't trust them and it was rather naive to think that you could.
