Why does first in turn come into it, surely nearest car is just as good if not better

I imagine most firms operate a list system rather than a nearest system.

But as long as the job is despatched in the normal way IMO it doesn't matter which system a firm uses.

But if they operate the nearest system, which I happen to believe is a sh** one, then they are more open to a charge of plying.

We operate the same as most on the sat systems like auriga and that is first in a particular zone. I was just being curious as to whether they could not say they gave the job to the nearest car at that time
I used to use auriga, what a piece of junk. The sets were ok around town and did what they said on the tin, but if you went out of town over 7 miles they data could not be transmitted to the box. In the instance of the Birmingham Airport mentioned earlier, The base would not have been able to transmit to me about the customers due to land shortly after I had dropped off, however there are marvelous inventions called mobile phones that you can actually talk to your drivers direct anywere in the country
