already asked te council t move the buses and it is a possibility for next year, i will be at the racecourse again so please come and say hello, i would appreciate it. as ive said before, we should all be working together not acting like arch enemies, we would achieve much more that way. sorry if i sounded flippant calling you sweetie, it was meant in a nice way though

on the last evening of the last race meeting, it was witnessed that a silver 5/6 seater may have been a Kia with 659 stickers was flagged at the traffic lights on Blossom St coming into town in the middle lane, 5 in siuts flagged down this PH and he waited at the lights whilst they got in

not rocket science but that is illeagal

and your 100% rock-solid SURE they were not his passengers and pre-booked, if so how?

Conversation between an operator and a customer (perhaps)

Hello 659 how can we help you

Could I have a cab please for 5 people from Blossom Street.

Yes we usually pick up in the middle lane of traffic, he will be along shortly

ok thank you I will keep a look out for him

that is possibly how stinky knew it wasn't pre booked.

Why is nobody from 659 relying to this comment, are they accepting it is true,

At the last meeting with the council and taxi associations it was proposed that the racecourse are to go for a road closure for every race day which would block Campelshon Road from the rear entrance to the old Terrys. That point will be drop off and pick up for all private hire vehicles who will not be allowed past the racecourse. HC rank will be moved further down Racecourse Road so they don't have to drive through the crowds. This action was put forward by the police.
This means that the 659 pick up point will not be a problem next year

Can you be sure of that, as long as they are allowed a free reign they will always be a problem.

i attended the meetng regarding the closure of campleshon road and there were some good and bad points raised from all in attendance. the road closure was suggested for all but buses, and taxis (hc and ph). there were some issues that needed ironing out and it was suggsted that the buses move further down knavesmire road, nothing was resoved at tat meeting though. a for mr thinkers comments re alleged phone conversation with" operator and customer" it doesnt really merit a reply as it is all imaginary otherwise it would have been reported through the correct channels and dealt with accordingly. also as ive said its 10 years since i was bus driving and if you know so much you will know what i was doing between buses and taxis and had nothing to do with either.

how do dimwitted comments like " with u big grin a fang teeth how about taxi blood service " help resolve the racecourse issue ?

is this site unmoderated ??????????

if so then we can all insult each other ...... after all its easy to do ,sticks and stones etc.

the ongoing issue remains and if the interested parties could behave like adults and work together then maybe just maybe a way forward can be found.

if not then its business as usual .......
