Does A professional Chauffeur need any special licence other than a Drivers licence if he works for One Boss, I guess as well as Being His Bosses personal Driver he could drive any of his Bosses friends or guests any where at any time in the same way as I can take Uncle Tom Cobley and all in my private car. Even if Not Employed but self Employed and under scots lefgislations he could Do one Contracted run under an agreed 24 hour Contract if Adequately Insured. As you say, just like you in your private car. He can take whoever his boss says, providing there is no reward. Expenses are ok but not a penny more, not even a tip.
Reward doesn't have to be direct. The boss must not gain from providing the service either e.g Hotel courtesy bus etc.
BTW in Scotland under the 24hr rule you can do as many runs as you like, provided they are all part of the same contract. e.g 12 runs for a social work department.
