You cannot use the street as a booking office, and night clubs can have operator licenses, but seldom adhere to the 1976 act. Might be an idea to invest in the latest Button book. http://www.amazon.co.uk/Button-Taxis-Ja ... 502&sr=1-1 |

stationtone wrote: Would this book be of any help to the Scottish taxi trade Well since the Scottish legislation is completely different then its usefulness would be limited, although some of the case law and other stuff might be useful. On the other hand, if you have to ask the question then this might indicate that spending £74 on this wouldn't be the best use of your cash. |

Depends on the guidance given out with your new laws. |

Oh right. I shall say it this way then. Are you now assisting PH to take trade away from HC's by helping them set up a sub office in a club? |

The trouble with law is that if you are to be sure of your ground, you must have the latest edition of any relevant books and keep up to date with case and statute law since the last revision of the book. What do you read to keep your knowledge current? |

The mush on the street is 'touting'. The law is crystal clear on that. |
