We've just had a rebrand on our fleet of cars and as part of that we have fitted them all with 30" topsigns covered in green translucent vinyl. They look stunning and when lit at night they look even more amazing. I had a call from our local council the other day questioning the legallity of having a green light on the roof apparently doctors are only allowed green lights. Can anyone shed any light (no pun intended) on this problem and let me know what is legal or not as the case may be. have a look at www.thinkzcars.com |

Many years ago Brum licensing banned green 'revolving' lights outside PH offices for exactly the same reason. So I don't think your licensing officer is 'off beam' (pun intended) at all! |

Unless there is a law/rule/by-law/condition which says you can't have green lights, then you can. In other words it's down to your council to find out, not you. And if they can't find out then they have no right to challenge you. |

No green roof signs in the first link & only very light green roof signs in the second link. What shade of green are your top-signs Mr Swesson; are they the same as in the link on your first post? |

yeah they're all like the one on the website. we looked around for green plastic topsigns but nobody could supply them so we bought white ones and had them covered in green vinyl. |

A lot cheaper with the exchange rate and they will work here and you will stand out from the rest

If you're taxis ie hackney carriages, shouldn't you have TAXI on your roof sign? |

Does the 'rebrand' conform with the conditions set down by your LA? CC |
