What I am saying is that a company may advertise to provide a service and then alocate the work to a licensed operator with vehicles. He will take a small commission. |

Again we come up to the taxi, PH???? Taxi ok. PH not ok if the person doing the advertising hasn't got an ops license in the area he his operating/advertising from. Also not ok if he has yet gives/passes work to PH not licensed in his licensing district. Basically the likes of Limo Broker are not working within the constraints of the 1976 act if they pass work to cars not licensed in the area in which they take the job. |

Yes, as they are clearly acting in line with the definition of a PH operator as described in the 1976 act. "operate" means in the course of business to make provision for the invitation or acceptance of bookings for a private hire vehicle; |

![]() If they take the bookings yes, but I think they automatically redirect any booking to a local firm. |

The company I work for do not own any vehicles at all they just operate. All the drivers own their own vehicles or rent from somebody outside the company |

Providing they have the required license, and they only give work to vehicles and drivers sharing the same licensing area, then they are ok. |
