At a guess I would say the first one sent a letter in pleading guilty (thus a third off), and gave details of his income.

I suspect the second did neither, so the court took his income as they saw fit, found him guilty (hence no discount) and fined him on that basis.

A lesson to us all, send the court as much details as you can, else they will take a guess which might not be fair.

How many on here wear a badge? Mine hangs in the car in full view where all the customers can see it, if it's round my neck they can't see it.

I have one for around my neck and one for in my vehicle. Regulations state they should be worn, what's the problem :?

If he'd worn it like he was supposed to he wouldn't have a fine to worry about :-|

If he'd had 3 bald tyres he'd have been £50 better off

Regrettably he would be £350 better off, as he wont (despite popular belief) be fined per tyre.
