I cant really see how Mr Young's saloons will change your position.

Whether his drivers are driving the TX's or saloons, I cant see how it will cost your work or anything like that.

Or if Mr Young manages to recruit drivers from Handys or 505050 or Tay, then that will mean less Handys/505050/Tays cars on the roads.

The only way I could see it changing your position is if you currently hire drivers and the desert you for Mr Young, but I doubt if Mr Young's pool of drivers will change significantly compared to what he has now.

You can sue who you like, but I really doubt you would win against this council.

You applied (I suspect) for a taxi vehicle license. They said you need to make your cab WAV, you then supplied one. At the end of the day, everything you have done is voluntary.

Maybe if you applied for a saloon taxi, and they refused, then you could have sued. But as the policy is now WAVs only, then I think your chances are nil.

203020 applied before the change of policy, in fact their applications led to a change of policy, but when those saloons come in for replacement the council might make them go WAV, along with the rest of the trade.

But as is the case in most places, you can have WAVs and saloons by the thousand, but they don't drive themselves.

Pays your money,takes your chance.
Was mentioned months ago that the grass that was greener, would eventually fade.
But you have to get on with it,like every business ventue, competition and the survival of the fittest.
