Does your LA have lines in the sand for drivers HC/PH badges requiring extra medicals and renewals?

Only the normal age requirements.

Think ours even have 3-year licenses, but annual medicals for our OAPs.

it transpires the annual medical and reduced badge terms are due to DVLA Class 2 HGV rules, over 65's must have annual medicals, therefore the badge must expire on the 1 year anniversary of the medical, put a new medical in and they extend the badge to its full term and accemt the new medical for badge renewal .....till the medicals anniversary..

its not a licensing age limit...

We have to have annual medicals from age 65 but the license is still issued for 3 years. If you don't pass the medical the license is terminated.

I have to renew my PCV entitlement every year and have a medical that costs around £60 a time, plus the statutory Driver CPC training @ £80 a day. Five days over 5 years.
