Driver numbers outside of London are up since the previous year, from 127,000 to 143,000, but still way down from the pre-covid period when the numbers were 214,000.

Driver numbers static in London since last year, 119,800. (18,300 taxi drivers, 101,500 PHV drivers)

Wolverhampton had 12,000 PH drivers licensed in 2022.

In 2023 they now have 22,000.

Shame on them, and shame on the legislation that allows it.

They don't care what they license, all they care about is money.

I had a call from a chap the other day asking if we were looking for drivers (we are) I asked if he was licensed by our council and he said no Wolverhampton. I said I was not interested.
