York Council have instructed all owners and drivers that from June 1st 2012, all vehicles presented for test for Hackney or Private Hire licensing must conform to Euro 4 for petrol engines and Euro 5 for diesel engines, has anyone any idea what year these vehicles would have to be. |

Maybe it's York Council getting their act into gear to show the Law Commission the benefits of taxi quotas.

Is this the sneaky extension to the LEZ? in fact its worse, the LEZ doesnt apply to any cars..... many MOT-tested vehicles which pass an emissions test wont be compliant in a few weeks and the charge is £100 per day to drive in the LEZ, my campervan for one, yet it only does 3000 miles a year and passed with 0.3 emissions while my mondeo does 10 tmes the mileage and 4 times the emissions, so tell me which puts out the lower total emissions?...... |
