Taxi Driver Online

Thoughts please. I have a client who resides in Reading and has held a PH license there for some years. He rang yesterday to say he was going to get a Gedling hack plate and work there. Was he moving to Gedling, no! Has anyone any knowledge of this council having a Berwick tendancy? Client claims he will be staying with friends whilst working in Gedling and will return to Reading to be with his family on his days off. Is there plenty of hack work in Gedling or am I being cynically suspicious?

I am not sure of the policy in Gedling but it would be my guess that there is not a huge ammount of Hackney work there. It is only a couple of miles outside Nottingham though.

Just insure him to work predominately in Gelding.

Gedling is like the Berwick on Tweed situation, there's nothing in Gedling for him to make his money.

Most Gedling badged drivers work the City of Nottingham with the bigger companies like DG Cars, Nottingham Cars etc etc.

Cross border at it's best.
