Your bookings would need to be made in the area that you are licensed in so unless you have a booking office in the cotswolds you will have a problem.

I can categorically state you can use your hackney to work for a private hire company in that area.you will have to try and find a company to take you though.

I assumed that he wanted to work on his own account.
Working for a PH company is OK. The main reason that a PH company may not want you would be that they don't have the work.

Because you are not licensed in that area the firms other drivers might not be best pleased.

As has been mentioned, you are fully legal, but it might be hard to work with punctured tyres.

Durham is derestricted.....but they have a colour policy and probably an age policy.

The way the out of town plates are going up there, I would advise you to keep your nose clean.

lol MCF is about right.

You could work legit at a very small price....why make enemies in your brave new world?

Sufficed to say you wouldnt be too popular....and in a new job in a new area I dont think that's advisable?

Wouldn't he be able to do pre-booked work on his own account anywhere with a HC licence?

Will the Cotswold Council have the balls to do the same as Shropshire Council are doing at present with the stream of applications coming from drivers in Birmingham?
