How does it work?
If like us up here you have to Licence a car for three years paid for by 3 individual yearly Installments. and say you bought a car which was 13 months old. Technically if you were to Licence it after six years of use you would not be able to as the car at that time would be 7 yrs and 1 month old at that point, which would mean it would not be under the 10 years of age at the expiry point of its third and last 3 year licence cycle.
Can you Licence a car for less than its 3 years or would your car be to old after it entered its 6th year of age?
It wasn't my car. Here a car has to be less than 6 years old at the first licensing and off when they reach 10 years old. However if the plate is due for renewal the day before the 10th aniversary, you get the full years plate so the car will be very nearly 11 when it comes off the road.
