Do any fellow Taxi drivers know of any Licencing Authority that allow drivers to still be licenced after having an ICD fitted. I have been allowed to ply my trade for the last 6 months with permission, then out of the blue , I have been suspended and am now going to Magistrates Court. I would be pleased to have any information that could assist my case. Thanks |

Unfortunately I am the least who would know anything about it, but if you are still medically fit for the job and love to do it, then why should you not! I wish you every luck in your righteous fight and you have my warmest sympathy! |

I think it's policy tbh, recently had a driver who had a stroke last year lose his badge for a month even though the Dr cleared him as fit to drive, you may find you will win in court if you can prove you aren't likely to flag out behind the wheel. |

I suggest you get loads of medical letters saying you are safe to drive, and ensure those saying so have loads of letters after their name. The court will only grant your appeal if they are sure the council are acting unreasonably. So you will need sufficient evidence to show that. |

Go on to your local councils website... find your local disability group... get them to take on the battle for you..... |
