Par for the course around my area.

We have got new traffic wardens and they are making our life hell when we can't get on a rank.

Maybe the T&G could use the picture to illustrate it's next Cab Trade News piece on 'deregulaton'.

they say every picture tells a story here is a pic that tells you a lot about the driver without you actually seeing him
http://www.carmarthenshire.gov.uk/uploa ... Taxi%202(1).jpg
you will note he is a bbc2 listener and he works lunchtime unlike many cabbies he has also waited untill his cab has reached 10 mph before switching on his meter unlike some dundee cabbies who switch it on when you come within 10 feet of their cab he has even went to the bother of fitting an air freshner on the dash to make the journey more comfortable for the customer he seems like the ideal cabbie but then you have to consider his financial position which could be summed up by loooking at his fuel gauge on the left by dumping the air freshner selling his radio to a junkie and switching on the meter before the customer got in he would have at least a quarter a tank by selling his watch and wedding ring he maybe even fill it

Well observed Mr wav, but I reckon the car is stationery.

I also think the ignition will be in the 'accessories' postion - that would explain why the fuel guage is showing zero and the meter is blank.

maybe but the speedo is reading 10 mph to me it looks like he is at a junction but ahead of him looks like an on coming vehicle maybe he is a 203020 driver who has just been handed a cab with a faulty speedo a knackerd meter and is not sure which side of the road he should be on
but the listening to bbc 2 radio throws me unless there is no radio in the cab and davie young just painted the facia to confuse the driver that would explain most of it good luck to him anyway

To me the speedo is going up in equal increments of 20 ie 20, 40, 60, 80.

Thus the speedo is at zero.

But you could be right enough about it being Dundee - from what I've heard, the maroon car in the picture looks like on of the ex-HCs

Anyone know which kind of car the picture is taken in?

Thats me I can recognise my hands, thats not an airfreshner, thats next weeks tax disc, get em cheep from the local incinurator.

as for the fuel gauge its down because well the bloke that sells me cheap diesel has not arived yet I am waiting for him.

I am stationary my button is not to switch the meter on, god know rarely do that, its to wipe it clean from that sad cow I had this morning, who insisted on me putting it on, so I must clear it beffore tax get hold of me.

And I am not a BBC2 listener, how sad you are to suggest that.

A bloke in the Red lion sells me cheap insurance but will only cover me for a month, charges the earth, a tenner and wont sell me more if I claim.

godda go me diesel is comming round the corner.
