Interesting, I believe her BSc is in Economics.

Even more interesting was that Charlotte Atkins also had a BSc (Econ) from the LSE.

But I think it's a good background for understanding the trade - I'd prefer an economist at the helm rather than someone with a legal, management or union background.

But then I thought that about Charlotte Atkins, but then again I suppose we could never have expected anything major from the DfT until the Action Plan deadline had expired, but clearly the election got in the way of that.

But given Labour's new mandate, and the promise to revisit the restrictions issue in mid-term, it makes for interesting times :D
