Hi All, I am a Midlands based solicitor and have been practicing for nearly 10 years. I specialise in advocacy and Taxi Licencing law (amongst other areas) and have represented drivers from both Hackney and Private Hire companies for many years having previously worked at one of Birmingham's largest law firms. I now have my own law firm and continue to represent drivers. If any Drivers out there require a free no obligation chat regarding licencing, criminal law, committee hearings, magistrates and crown court appeals, please do not hesitate to get in touch. I look forward to hearing from you and welcome your call. Kuldip 07 575 575 494 0121 572 2746 kuldip@obiterlegal.com http://www.taxilawyer.co.uk |

TaxiLawyer: Welcome, ignore all the carping, there are certain people that would happily look a Gift Horse in the mouth. I'm based in Ayr, South West Scotland, and have managed to keep out of trouble for quite a while, so your skills will be wasted, but, should you know of a Taxi Specialist - North of the Border, s/he would be a very welcome addition to my Database. |

Hi All, Thanks for all of your replies! As for the Self Employed / PAYE question, Yes, thats best answered by an emplyment lawyer. As yes, while union lawyers may represent your interests, as one of you correctly pointed out, these are subsidised by your union fees. Wee Eddie, I will make enquiries and come back to you. As for the No Win No Fee comment, i agree and do not like this structure. My firm does not undertake any of this type of work. As for the rest who genuinely want some honest experienced advice, please do let me know. I have long been a friend of Bham drivers, many of whom know me well. I too think driver get a bad deal whether by local government, licensing or the committee, so just here trying to help. Have a great day all and enjoy the weather! taxilawyer |
